The Solarsystem: what do we know about it?
Well, we all know more or less something about it:
Mercury, Venus then Earth, our moon, Mars line up, then Jupiter and so on...
Important for us today is that each change in the distance between the planets would effect life on earth enormously.
If our moon would just be a few thousand kilometers closer, tsunamis of 100 meters high would savage the coasts!
The earth closer to the sun would boil us like a crabs in hot water!
Farther away would let us on the other side freeze instantly and preserve us frozen bodies for 100 million of years!
What is the connection between these strange thoughts and my story today?
God has given us certain values to follow:
don't steal, don't kill, honor father and mother,... more will come up if you start to remember them.
These values are in a way moving like planets around our heart.
The more important these values are, the closer they are to our heart; while the less important values and rules are more distant.
To love God with all our heart, mind and soul should be the most important, closest value to our hearts . Loving God should be as close to our hearts as Mercury is to the sun.
Putting of the shoes at the entrance is a real important rule here in Japan, but in other countries that is more or less flexible according to customs. That rule is more like a distant comet, sometimes flying by planet Pluto, sometimes more far away...
When we start to change the God-given orbits of His values for our lives, meaning moving commandments farer or closer to our heart, then our life, the lives of others becomes unbalanced and messy!
Pushing away central values will devastate our own life as well as those of others like a tsunami destroying whatever is in it's way.
To follow HIS given orbits for values is really important in order to stay centered, balanced, and in a healthy and well relation to all the other people and events surrounding us!

I think we can learn quite a lot from the moon, planets and stars without being a professional astronomer!
